The UFI Asia-Pacific Conference took place in Australia for the first time on 13-14 February. The event brought industry leaders from 20+ countries to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).
It was co-located with AIME and the ABEA Leaders Forum, featuring discussions on AI, sustainability, talent development and evolving market trends – key issues shaping the exhibition industry today.
Industry insights and collaboration
Over the two day-period, thought leaders from across the APAC region addressed the sector’s biggest challenges. Sessions will be available on-demand for UFI members and conference participants in the coming days.
UFI managing director Chris Skeith OBE highlighted the event’s impact:
“As the exhibition industry evolves, the conversations we’ve had here in Melbourne will help drive innovation and growth across the region and beyond.”
Natalie O’Brien AM, chief executive of Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, commented: “It was a momentous week for the business events industry, with the UFI Asia-Pacific Conference, AIME and ABEA Leaders Forum all taking place here at MCEC”.
Exploring Melbourne
Delegates also took part in post-conference tours, including a behind-the-scenes visit to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), a Yarra River cruise and stops at the Australian Sports Museum and Melbourne Formula 1 Grand Prix Circuit.
