UFI opens applications for 2025 Next Generation Leadership Grant

UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, has opened applications for the 2025 Next Generation Leadership (NGL) Grant – a programme designed to support emerging leaders in the exhibition industry. Now in its ninth year, the initiative is backed by Clarion, dmg events, Informa Markets and RX.

Focus on redefining exhibition formats

Each year, the NGL Grant challenges participants to address a key issue in the exhibition industry. The 2025 mission asks applicants to explore new, unconventional event formats to drive the evolution of exhibition models.

“There has never been a better time to rethink how exhibitions are designed,” said Chris Skeith OBE, UFI managing director and CEO. “We encourage fresh talent to step forward and push the industry forward.”

Adeline Vancauwelaert, UFI COO, added: “The best ideas often come from fresh perspectives. The NGL Grant provides a space for emerging leaders to experiment and drive change.”

Selection process and programme details

  • Up to five winners will be selected by an international jury, chaired by UFI president Hugh Jones (CEO, RX), on 17 April 2025.
  • The grant is open to full-time exhibition industry professionals with up to ten years of experience.
  • Winners will participate in a seven-month programme while continuing their daily work, collaborating with UFI mentors and alumni.
