Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) has launched a bonded warehouse service for international exhibitions and events, becoming the first city-centre venue in Bangkok to offer the facility. The move is designed to simplify temporary import procedures for organisers and exhibitors.
A bonded warehouse is a customs-controlled facility that allows goods imported temporarily for exhibitions and events to be stored and used without the need for import duty guarantees or ATA Carnet documentation. For organisers and exhibitors, this means less paperwork, fewer customs procedures, and a more efficient process overall.
QSNCC has appointed APT Showfreight (Thailand) Ltd, part of the APT Showfreight & Logistics Group, to manage the facility. The company has nearly 20 years’ experience in exhibition and event logistics, with offices across China, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. As bonded warehouse manager, APT will handle import and export processing, customs clearance, and delivery of goods directly to exhibition areas.
QSNCC is a city-centre venue, with direct access to hotels, public transport and business facilities and sits in one of Bangkok’s prime commercial districts.
“The bonded warehouse is more than a new service for organisers and exhibitors – it is an important part of Thailand’s international exhibition and event ecosystem,” said QSNCC CEO, Surapol Utintu. “Organisers today look not only at venue quality, but at the strength of the infrastructure that supports smooth and efficient events. We believe this development will strengthen Thailand’s ability to host international exhibitions and give organisers and exhibitors greater confidence in choosing Thailand as their event destination.”
“We’re pleased to take on the role of bonded warehouse manager for QSNCC,” said Suthichai Techanarungroj, regional director of APT Showfreight & Logistics Group. “In our experience, organisers increasingly value reliable logistics support alongside venue quality, and this facility is a meaningful step towards improving efficiency and flexibility for event organisers.”
Several major events are already planning to use the new service, including Asia Sustainable Energy Week 2026 and Thai Water 2026 (1-3 July 2026), CPHI Southeast Asia 2026 (8-10 July 2026), Food & Hospitality Thailand 2026 (19-22 August 2026), Bangkok Gems & Jewellery Fair (8-12 September 2026), and Jewellery & Gem ASEAN Bangkok 2027 (17-20 May 2027).
The bonded warehouse forms part of QSNCC’s wider efforts to build a more complete ecosystem for international exhibitions and events in Thailand, bringing together venue facilities, logistics services and supporting infrastructure for global organisers.
