Construmat 2025 at 75% of contracted exhibition space for May 2025 show in Barcelona

The 24th edition of Construmat, Spain’s major construction show, which takes place 20-22 May 2025 at the Gran Vía venue in Barcelona, is set to be one of the largest and most international editions in recent years, organisers say. With five months to go until the show doors open, more than three-quarters of the exhibition space has been booked, representing an increase of 36% compared to the same time last year.

Over 100 companies have secured their spot at the show and 30 of them are international, from countries such as France, Morocco, Portugal, Turkey, or China, among others.

Construmat 2025 will occupy 32,000sqm gross of Pavilion Number 2 of the Fira, with a final total of 350 exhibitors and more than 700 brands being predicted.

Firms from machinery, tools and equipment, industrialised construction, structures, facades and roofing, insulation and waterproofing, coatings and paints, urban planning, landscaping and outdoor space, safety and professional services will all be represented, alongside associations.

According to the president of Construmat and APCE Spain, Xavier Vilajoana, the commitment of companies in the sector to the show “reaffirms the show’s leadership as the main meeting point for the industry, and also as a space for collaboration and exchange of essential knowledge”.

The Sustainable Building Congress is organised during the three days of the show and, under the technical direction of Jorge Arditti, president of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in Mexico and Latin America, a hundred speakers will take part. They will address issues such as biohabitability and health, AI and social housing.

Emerging companies and the most cutting-edge innovation in the sector will also have a place at Construmat 2025 with an area specially designed to host the most disruptive start-ups in the sector, as well as a space for workshops, which will offer practical training and certifications to professionals.

The show will host the Construmat Awards, curated by the Mies van der Rohe Foundation, with the aim of rewarding projects that stand out for their commitment to sustainable and healthy architecture.
