Frankfurt-based DECHEMA (Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology) – organisers of the ACHEMA trade show for the international Process Industries– and Gulf Energy Information have announced a partnership to launch a new annual event for experts and decision-makers in the chemical and bio-based production value chain: ChemE Show – Powered by ACHEMA.
Scheduled for June 2026 in Houston, Texas, this event is poised to address the evolving technology and investment demands of North America’s chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. Bringing together chemical engineers, industry pioneers, and innovators, the ChemE Show will highlight cutting-edge advancements in process engineering, biotechnology, and downstream processing, while bridging connections to the energy industry.
With Gulf Energy Information’s expansive industry network and ACHEMA’s global reach, the event offers a major new platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration.
“This partnership brings together two powerhouse organisations committed to advancing innovation in the chemical and energy industry operations,” said John Royall, president & CEO of Gulf Energy Information. “By combining ACHEMA’s legacy with Gulf’s expertise in media and events, we’re creating a unique space for professionals to connect, collaborate, and drive the industry forward.”
The ChemE Show will align closely with the triennial ACHEMA, featuring standalone events in the United States in 2026 and 2028, as well as a dedicated networking track at ACHEMA in Frankfurt, Germany, in 2027. Designed with the chemical engineering community in mind, the event will offer:
- Keynote presentations with leading industry executives and visionaries driving innovation at top global companies.
- Technical sessions: offering in-depth workshops and panels focusing on critical topics such as sustainability, hydrogen technologies, process optimisation, and digital transformation.
- Exhibition floor: showcasing the latest breakthroughs and cutting-edge technologies shaping the future of chemical engineering and the broader process industries.
Dr Björn Mathes, CEO of DECHEMA Exhibitions, added: “For more than a century, ACHEMA has been the central hub for innovation in chemical and pharmaceutical engineering and technology, and we are excited to expand this impact to North America. The ChemE Show will serve as a vital bridge between global markets, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among engineers and industry professionals.”
