IBTM has announced the launch of IBTM Asia Pacific, set to take place 9-10 June 2027 at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC). The new trade show by organiser RX Global will aim to bring together corporate, association and agency buyers from across the Asia-Pacific region with global destinations, venues, hotels and suppliers using the Hosted Buyer model and smart matchmaking. An inaugural IBTM Asia-Pacific event, scheduled for March 2025 in Hong Kong was subsequently cancelled.
Asia-Pacific is now the third-largest business events market in the world valued at $231.49bn in 2026 and forecast to grow at 12.6% annually through 2029, according to RX which says the region presents a clear opportunity for a flagship event built for scale, growth and connection.
IBTM said its exhibitor and buyer research confirmed strong demand for a dedicated regional platform, with key brands and buyer groups already signalling their intention to attend. The event will benefit from institutional backing from Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).
