Hunting and shooting exhibition IWA OutdoorClassics has released a post-show report following its 2025 edition that ran from 27 February to 2 March. The report contains a list of testimonials from exhibitors – they describe the show as “less crowded” but with a “quality of customers” that was “way better” than at previous shows.
This positive feedback seems to be representative of the overall picture, as 75% of exhibition space for IWA 2026 has already been sold.
Luis Dirmeier, sales development representative at Schmidt und Bender said: “I have done many shows in Germany and Austria recently and this one quality-wise is the best. The show also helps us be informed about new trends and see what other companies are doing.”
Christian Hark, sales responsible Europe at Sig Sauer said: “IWA 2025 has been a great success. The most important thing for me as the sales responsible for all of Europe is being able to meet with all the important European and international distributors. Almost all of them were here … It’s the most important show in Europe.”
He continued: “Of course it’s a decision for our marketing department, but maybe next year we will look at a few square metres more.”
Despite comments about a less crowded show, IWA 2025 still brought 30,000 visitors from 126 countries to the NürnbergMesse.
Lewis Ramsey, UK sales at Gamebore said that this was the first time his company had exhibited since the pandemic, and that “to be honest, it has been absolutely fantastic”. He had interested customers that came “from all over the globe”.
Marcus Ehlig, sales manager Southwest at Bergans said: “The show has really been amazing, we have made really good contacts with German retailers and also international retailers … I really I got in touch with a lot of people and the right people – it’s been a blast.”
He concluded: “We will absolutely be back again.”
