Messe Stuttgart has announced it will be launching Make-To-Order Days, or MTO Days for short, a brand-new event format, in June 2026.
The new trade fair is on the Messe’s calendar for 9-10 June, and is tailored for buyers interested in precision tools, make-to-order production and metal cutting. The main focus will be on order-related precision manufacturing – an area currently under enormous pressure to innovate and adapt.
“Technological upheavals, geopolitical challenges and the rapid transformation of entire branches of industry are not making life easy for many manufacturing companies,” said Sebastian Schmid, vice-president of Messe Stuttgart. “With the MTO Days, we are creating a platform that will focus specifically on these changes and provide industries with an appropriate response to requirements.”
MTO Days will bring together suppliers of precision manufacturing technology with industrial users from high-growth sectors such as defence or robotics. The new trade fair is positioning itself as a specialised procurement platform for strategic networking, innovation and corporate matchmaking.
MTO Days will take place alongside CastForge and Battery Show Europe which organisers say is designed to create synergies for exhibitors and visitors alike. Organisers add this concentration of information and expertise not only provides additional value, but promotes interdisciplinary exchange on the trade fair grounds.
A programme of accompanying events will include an expert forum on latest trends from the worlds of digitalisation, precision and production, while a central Networking Area, as well as separate meeting rooms, will be designed to create the ideal conditions for personal discussions.
