Montgomery Group celebrates 130 years of exhibitions

The UK’s longest-running independent events organiser, Montgomery Group is celebrating 130 years of organising events. To mark the occasion, the company has created a new logo and is set to host a suite of celebrations throughout 2025, including a summer party for employees in the 15 territories in which it operates.

Managing director Damion Angus said: “It is hard to believe, in a world where the average lifespan of a company is around eight years, and many companies do not survive beyond 20, that we are about to celebrate 130 years of the Montgomery brand.

“From its humble beginnings in 1895 when it launched the Building Trades Exhibition through to our present day portfolio, the company has continued to prosper even with the challenges of recessions, depressions, wars, pandemics, technology disruptions, consumer behaviour changes – to name but a few.

“In light of this great milestone we will utilise 2025 to celebrate our history and have developed a full calendar of events and activities designed to celebrate what we have achieved over the years. These activities will be underpinned by a social media campaign full of stories, interviews and photos which will celebrate key accomplishments since our inception.”

Montgomery Group employs 180 people and runs over 50 events and co-locates across 15 countries, with its global teams set to participate in the calendar of celebrations. A new company logo has been created to incorporate the 130 years milestone and a commemorative campaign video will launch later this month.

The first event to fly the flag for Montgomery Group’s 130th birthday will be ART SG – leading global contemporary art fair in Southeast Asia, taking place at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, from 17-19 January. The company’s new branding will feature on every show Montgomery Groups runs throughout 2025.

As per the celebrations, Montgomery Group will also launch a commemorative campaign video later in January.
