UK-based organiser Nineteen Goup has announced Alison Jackson is to step up to the role of CEO with Peter Jones moving to a roader role as group CEO. From a cupboard in Wimbledon, England, to a global organisation approaching 300 people, with offices in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and Boston, Nineteen has grown rapidly since Phoenix Equity Partners backed the business in 2018.
Today, the group runs over 20 major-scale international shows across sectors including security, infrastructure, and technology, supporting critical communities around the world. Led since inception by CEO Peter Jones, group MD Alison Jackson and group CFO Jon Lacey, and guided by chairman Phil Soar, Nineteen delivered a standout 2025, with 25% organic growth, multiple launches and a record run of acquisitions, including three in the USA.
Nineteen has also announced a new Executive Board. Tristan Norman and Mike Costain step into group managing director roles and are joined on the Executive Board by US president Mary Larkin, group COO David Holden and group FD Carly Lees. Peter, Alison and Jon will serve on this Board while remaining on the Investor Board with Phoenix.
Peter Jones commented: “This evolution seriously ups the ante for our next super-growth phase! It allows me to focus more time where I can add biggest impact across culture, vision and acquisitions. And, I couldn’t be more thrilled to see Alison take on the CEO seat. AJ’s long been driving the business day-to-day, and this rightly recognises the formidable leader she is.”
Alison Jackson added: “From the earliest days in the cupboard, we focused on building the strongest leadership team in the sector. I’m proud to see them step up into broader roles creating even more value for Nineteen. Crucially, they’re backed by strong teams, giving depth and support to succeed.”
