As NürnbergMesse’s 50th anniversary was a year of record sales. Closing out the year with €360m in revenue, the German organiser and venue operator achieved a 40% increase on 2022’s figure of €257m. The previous record, €315m (from 2018), was broken by a 14% boost.
Over the course of the year, NürnbergMesse ran 140 events worldwide, drawing a total of 33,900 exhibitors and 1.56m visitors. This compared to 2023’s total of 28,153 exhibitors and 1.28m visitors.
In event space, NürnbergMesse occupied 1.18m sqm compared to 2023’s level of 904,466sqm.
At the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre, major events saw significant growth on previous years. FACHPACK, packaging and processing trade fair, saw a 26% increase in exhibitors, while Chilventa, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration fair, experienced a 20% boost.
The company’s success was driven by more than just German events. Subsidiaries NürnbergMesse Brasil and NürnbergMesse China recorded their best results to date.
CEO of NürnbergMesse Peter Ottman shared his gratitude for a “lively” customer base: “Our biggest birthday present for our 50-year jubilee came from our customers, with their lively attendance at our trade fairs, conferences, and other events – they gave us the best year in our history so far!”
NürnbergMesse is also looking to build on this success through additional investments. The company has acquired publisher WEKA Fachmedien GmbH and ALTENPFLEGE, a leading trade fair for the care sector.
Overall, the German exhibition company is anticipating another strong sales year in 2025, despite it being cyclically lower in revenue. NürnbergMesse is expected to bring in €350m over the course of the year.
140 events are on the calendar across the world, with 76 scheduled for the Nuremberg venue. Among major new additions are BIOFACH America, EUROGUSS in Mexico, Construlev in Brazil and guest event Interlift (AFAG).
