SicherheitsExpo Berlin celebrated its premiere in mid-September at the STATION Berlin event location and organisers AFAG say they will return, 22-23 September 2027.
AFAG managing directors Henning and Thilo Könicke said they were “very satisfied” with the first edition of SicherheitsExpo Berlin. “The capital now has a specialised trade fair dedicated to the important topic of security. The feedback from exhibitors has been very positive: we were able to attract the right visitors to the trade fair. At the same time, we see that the event still has potential for development, which we would like to exploit together with the industry.”
The offerings of around 70 exhibitors covered key areas of security technology, such as access control, video surveillance, fire protection, perimeter protection and IT security.
Organisers added that the two-day exhibition attracted around 2,000 visitors, the majority coming from Germany.
An accompanying expert forum highlighted current security topics, technologies and challenges.
The Berlin Police president and patron of the new event, Dr Barbara Slowik Meisel, emphasised the relevance of the topics presented: “By taking on the patronage, we want to send a clear signal: for innovative strength in security technology, for the importance of critical infrastructures – and for partnership-based co-operation between the police and the security industry. Berlin is at the centre of social, political and security-related developments. The challenges for security in our city are manifold. The protection of critical infrastructure – whether energy supply, transport or digital networks – is a central task that we can only accomplish together. The trade fair offers an excellent platform for presenting current technologies, concepts and solutions that contribute to the resilience of our city.”
Organisers also reported 90% of exhibitors said the event met their expectations, with 93% saying they would also like to participate in the next SicherheitsExpo in Berlin.
Next year, meanwhile, will mark the 23rd edition of AFAG’s SicherheitsExpo Munich and 1-2 July 2026, SicherheitsExpo will present the latest innovative security technologies for protecting industry, commerce, critical infrastructure, public authorities and private entities at the MOC Munich.
