Chinese trade show Pet Fair South China has logged a record attendance of 89,278 visitors in the city of Shenzhen in early December. With over 350 exhibitors over 50,000sqm, the show has grown in size – a fact reflecting both the success of the organisers and the booming of the pet industry in China.
The event is held every year. 2024’s edition occurred at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. In 2023, the event was held in Guangzhou.
Pet Fair South China serves the Greater Bay Area in South China, and in conglomeration with Pet Fair Beijing, Pet Fair Southeast Asia (Bangkok) and Pet Fair Asia (Shanghai), forms a network of events dominating the Asian pet trade fair market. Flagship event Pet Fair Asia is one of the largest pet shows in the world.
The organiser confirmed the growth of the pet industry in Asia: “The growth of Pet Fair Asia and its expansion, not only in China but also in other Asian markets, is a testament to the continuous growth of the pet industry in this region.”
