AEV welcomes Newbury Racecourse into membership

The Association of Event Venues (AEV) has announced its newest member is Newbury Racecourse, one of the UK’s premier racecourses.

Located in Berkshire, Newbury Racecourse stages 31 race days a year, including both flat and jump meetings. The home of the Coral Gold Cup and Lockinge Stakes, in addition to accommodating a wide range of conferences and events, the racecourse also features an on-site hotel, The Lodge, as well as the Rocking Horse Nursery. The racecourse also has its own on-site rail station.

Shaun Hinds, chief executive, Newbury Racecourse, said: “As a previous board member and chair of the AEV, I place a great value on the benefits of membership of the association. Newbury Racecourse is a globally renowned racing venue but also has an ambitious and fast growing conference and events business. As our team seeks to build on our capability and reputation as a leading events venue, there is no better source of support, information, expertise and industry leadership than the AEV. We are delighted to be joining the AEV in 2025 and adding another string to the expanding bow of venue categories within the membership.”

Rachel Parker, director, AEV, commented: “We are thrilled to be welcoming Newbury Racecourse to AEV membership. I am sure they will benefit from our collaborative approach and shared best practices. I am looking forward to working with Shaun again. Our association offers perspective on venue management policies and the latest trends and technologies and I’m enthusiastic to see what the Newbury team brings to our community.”
