New agency launch set to support Emerald Expositions in DACH and Turkey

Hans-Joachim Erbel (pictured), who was CEO of RX Germany for almost 20 years, is launching a new trade fair sales agency (eXsas) and reports Emerald Expositions as its first major client. Erbel, who was also head of strategy at Messe Frankfurt is joined in the new venture by Ismail Sezen who has worked in the exhibition industry since 2001, with a long track record in Turkey as a sales representative for many international organisers. Together they have founded eXsas GmbH.

The new agency focuses on sales and international representation for trade exhibitions, targeting the DACH region and Europe.

“We bring together a network of companies, associations, and institutions that has grown over more than 25 years,” says Erbel.

“Regarding the rapidly growing participation of Turkish companies in international trade fairs, eXsas can serve as a bridgehead for exploring the Eurasian market,” adds Sezen, who has managed thousands of Turkish companies and official international participations in European trade fairs.

Since the beginning of the year, eXsas has taken over international marketing for the US trade show organiser Emerald Expositions in the DACH region and Turkey. With a large portfolio of events across numerous industry sectors.

In total, 11 international trade shows from Emerald will be marketed by eXsas in Europe These include the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), which is the world’s largest trade event for the sector, the Fastener Expo, the design and furniture show HD Expo, the BDNY show for boutique hotel design, and the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF).

“The collaboration with Emerald is a promising kick-start that brings us into international waters right from the start,” the entrepreneurs said and report being in talks to represent other trade show organisers as well. “Organising and managing trade fairs could become another pillar of the company in future, but for now, however, establishing a sales organisation is our priority,” they say.
