SURFER to CARV out a media niche in the San Diego surf

This year’s new US West-Coast based expo for surf and action retailers CARV (California Action Retailer + Venture), organised by RedlineXpo, has announced a media partnership with SURFER magazine.

SURFER Magazine is also sponsoring four booth spaces at the CARV Expo, 20-22 June, for up-and-coming brands. This grant provides emerging companies with a platform to gain exposure, connect with industry leaders, and showcase their innovations at CARV Expo.

Josh Rifkin, co-founder, CARV Expo said the initial response to CARV had been “tremendous”, while RedlineXpo said it intends CARV to connect boardsport retailers of all sizes, from all regions of the country, with brands that are innovating: “CARV will be a place to be inspired, look forward, and even help shape the future of the industry.”

SURFER magazine added it would be “rallying the tribe and pushing the industry forward, we’ll be on the ground reporting on the latest and greatest, talking to surf biz leaders, as well as hosting what’s sure to be a few spirited panel discussions”.

“I had pages from SURFER Magazine all over my bedroom walls when I was 14 years old. It’s a natural partnership – we want heritage and longevity to be CARV’s North Star,” said Rifkin.
