-45dB secures patent for groundbreaking sound-reducing technology

UK-based -45dB, the sound-reducing structures and meeting pods company now with an office in Dubai, has announced it has been officially granted a patent for its pioneering sound-reduction solutions.

The company, with the same owners as events furniture supplier, Thorns Group, sees this milestone as a defining moment, securing its intellectual property and reinforcing its leadership in the design and deployment of sound-reducing modular temporary structures for the global events and exhibitions sector.

The newly granted patents cover a range of technologies that are redefining how sound is managed in high-traffic environments. The -45dB team’s goal has been to deliver superior sound-reduction without compromising on aesthetics or flexibility.

This patent news comes at a pivotal time as -45dB launches its offerings into the Middle East’s dynamic event and exhibition markets – further accelerating its international growth and strategic expansion since launching in the UK at last year’s International Confex in London.

Jon Noonan, managing director of -45dB, told EW: “I’m thrilled to officially announce that -45dB has been awarded its patent, marking a huge leap forward for our company and the future of sound-reduction technology in events and exhibitions. This achievement represents years of research, development, and dedication to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible!”
