Thailand Exhibition Association appoints new president

The Thailand Exhibition Association (TEA) has appointed Loy Joon How (pictured), general manager of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd, as its new president, effective June 2025. The national association was founded in 1997 by exhibition industry professionals with a strong passion to drive Thailand’s exhibition industry, and today its members are clustered into four core groups, namely organisers, venues, services providers and freight forwarders.

Loy has over 40 years of professional experience in the exhibition industry, of which 18 years are in Thailand with IMPACT, the largest venue in south-east Asia. He takes over the position from outgoing TEA president Panittha Buri from Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center.

Over the last two years, Loy has served on TEA’s Executive Committee as its vice-president.

Upon taking the helm of TEA, Loy will be looking to develop and direct economic growth through new business opportunities, creating events and networking activities, solidifying international marketing efforts, and advocating policies to upgrade the exhibition industry. Additionally, he will be expected to lead on the adaptation of technologies and innovations to upgrade industry standards through education, training, resource sharing, and best practices, while championing the introduction of eco-friendly exhibitions and best green practices.
