The 2nd Baku Water Week, combining the International Exhibition and Conference for Water Management, returns to Baku, Azerbaijan, 10–12 September.
The trade show offers a major platform for practical co-operation in water management and is set to attract displays of new technologies, equipment, as well as provide opportunities for investments in the sector.
Baku Water Week is managed by Caspian Event Organisers with the support of the State Water Resources Agency and the Azerbaijan Exhibition Organisers Association (ASTA).
Saudi company ACWA Power, the world’s largest private water desalination company, is general sponsor of the event. The company says it has invested $340m in Azerbaijan, including in the Khizi-Absheron 240 MW wind power plant and is the successful bidder for the Caspian Seawater Desalination Project. The company plan to invest $400m in the project.
The 2nd International Conference on Water Management will also be held within the framework of Baku Water Week, tackling themes such as water resources management, global climate change, water security, as well as new water technologies and practices.
