Easyfairs’ Trendz is to co-locate with ShowUP in a move the organisers’ say is to unite to create the largest retail event for home, flowers and gifts in the Benelux.
The shows will come together 30 August-1 September, with a revamped joint event that aims to combine the strengths of both and that gives visitors the opportunity to discover more than 500 brands in one place.
Trendz has a strong position in home decoration, flowers and gifts, while ShowUP has targeted home, gifts, kids, stationery and lifestyle segments. The new, unified event will also offer jewellery and accessories and table and kitchenware elements.
Mascha de Bruin, organiser of Trendz, said: “By joining forces, the new event will gain a broader base, greater reach and a solid base for further growth. Retailers will find everything under one roof, while still experiencing the recognisable qualities that make Trendz and showUP so valuable.”
For showUP, the collaboration represents a logical step in its development. Daan van Trigt of showUP, said: “The collaboration gives showUP a tremendous boost. The community and the brands will gain access to a larger stage, while the content and atmosphere will remain the same.”
The first joint edition of the shows will run at Evenementenhal Gorinchem, in The Netherlands.
