Messe Stuttgart is expanding its portfolio of international trade fairs with the news of a new subsidiary trade fair launch in the R+T Alliance – R+T South-East Asia in Thailand.
The R+T trade fair alliance for the sun shading and doors/gates industry consists of seven events worldwide, led by the R+T trade fair held in Stuttgart. The R+T Alliance currently gives companies in the industry access to international markets from Europe to North America and Asia and the new fair will launch 11 -13 November 2026 in the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in parallel to FutureBuild Asia and DOMOTEX South East Asia. The three events create a new, comprehensive industry platform for construction, design and building technologies in the region.
“With R+T South-East Asia, we are continuing to pursue our policy of strategic expansion,” said Sebastian Esswein, vice-president of Messe Stuttgart. “As a gateway to the ASEAN region, Thailand provides the perfect opportunity to meet the requirements of these key growth markets.”
Because Thailand is the second largest construction market in the ASEAN region, with an average annual growth rate of over 5%. Major projects in the infrastructure area, smart city initiatives and the Bio-Circular-Green economy model of the Thai government are creating strong demand for sustainable and technologically innovative solutions.
Three topics under one roof
R+T South-East Asia will focus on three main areas: Sun protection systems (interior and exterior, awnings, roller shutters, Venetian blinds, as well as technical textiles and accessories), doors and gates (including drives, controllers and smart home technologies), and interior and exterior design (soft decoration, outdoor furniture and home accessories). The event is organised by Messe Stuttgart in co-operation with Worldex G.E.C. Co. Ltd., Messe Hannover and GLOBUS Events.
The other events of the R+T Alliance include R+T Asia (Shanghai), Sun Shading Expo North America (Orlando), APAExpo by R+T (Valencia), as well as R+T Turkey (Istanbul).
Messe Stuttgart currently organises events at Hamburg and Leipzig in Germany, Vancouver in Canada, Nanjing in China, as well as New Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru in India. With four subsidiaries and around 20 international representatives, Messe Stuttgart now has a presence in more than 50 countries.
