Global event organiser RX has announced that Michel Filzi, president of RX France, will retire early next year after 27 years with the company.
Filzi has led the France business for the past 12 years, overseeing a portfolio of over 30 events and guiding the organisation through a period of significant transformation and growth.
RX has appointed Filippo Rean (pictured) to replace him, effective 14 September. Rean currently serves as managing director of the RX France Hub and will report to RX CEO Hugh Jones, who commented: “Michel has made an exceptional contribution to RX and the wider events industry throughout a remarkable career. His leadership has helped shape one of our most important businesses, and we thank him for his dedication and wish him every success in his future activities.”
Jones added: “Filippo is a highly respected leader with a strong track record of driving growth and transformation. The future of our industry will be defined by our ability to combine the power of face-to-face events with data, digital capabilities and deeper customer engagement. Filippo is exceptionally well placed to lead RX France through that next chapter and unlock new opportunities for growth.”
Rean joined RX in 2010 to lead MIPIM and has since held senior leadership positions across several of the company’s leading brands. Originally from Italy, but settled in Paris, Rean holds dual French and Italian citizenship and has a background in management consultancy and strategy.
Filzi will remain with the company as Special Advisor until April 2027 to support the leadership transition.
