Venue management and event strategy group, ASM Global has appointed industry veteran Tony Hodgins as general manager of the Pennsylvania Convention Center (PCC).
Hodgins was a 30-year executive of exhibition contractor Freeman.
The Pennsylvania Convention Center is part of the ASM Global portfolio, whose executive vice-president of convention centers, Dan Hoffend, said: “The Center continues to grow as a hub for many of the world’s significant conventions and events; and with Tony’s longtime experience with one of the area’s iconic and most popular destinations, we anticipate PCC’s growth will be even more robust in coming years.”
David A. Nasatir, chair of the Board, Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority added: “The Pennsylvania Convention Center takes seriously its role as an economic driver for Philadelphia’s hospitality and tourism industry, and Mr Hodgins’ broad and long-standing experience in this sector will help to maintain the Center’s position as one of the nation’s premier meeting and convention facilities.”
