ECEF focusing on the future in 25th anniversary year

The 25th anniversary of the US-based Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum (ECEF) will again focus on helping 250 industry leaders connect and stay ahead when the annual event comes to the Grand Hyatt in Washington D.C, 27 May 2026.

This year’s event keynote will see Informa VP Edwina Kulego promises to explain the value of a new leadership mindset and Sam Lippman, president of Lippman Connects, producer of ECEF, says this is no time to reminisce. ECEF 2026 is not set for any a trip down memory lane but promises, he says, to be non-stop networking punctuated by provocative C-level presentations.

Lippman himself will set the tone for the day, with his fast-paced and fact-filled ‘5 Key Data Points in 5 Minutes’.

In the keynote Kulego, VP of global development and growth, fashion, at Informa will explain that a global mindset has nothing to do with borders or expansion, but boils down to increasing the resilience of your organisation in an era where uncertainty is never-ending. She will explore how even small mindset shifts can create outsized leadership impacts.

Key takeaways promised include:

  • How a global mindset strengthens leadership, teams, and revenue
  • How diverse teams and partnerships reduce business risk
  • Practical ways to think globally while staying locally focused.

Lippman said, “We have entered an era where flexibility and resilience are more important than ever. Edwina will deliver practical information that will help her peers adapt their mindsets, strengthen their organisations, and relish the profits.”
