US-based Events Venture Group (EVG), a braintrust of founders, serial entrepreneurs, and top-tier event operators, has reported completion of its second strategic investment – this time in Deep Tech Momentum (DTM), a leading European deep tech event platform.
Since its inception in May 2024, EVG says it has been dedicated to shaping the next generation of event entrepreneurs assembling a top-tier membership of 35+ influential leaders from across the global event ecosystem. During that time EVG has evaluated over 130+ ventures and hosted 13+ founder pitches.
EVG’s latest investment is a bold bet on the future of events, backing Deep Tech Momentum (DTM), a German company that has been working on emerging technology ecosystems for convening and collaborating. Co-led by Dr Martin Schilling and Isabelle Flanagan (ex-McKinsey, Techstars, N26, Accenture) DTM has already a significant footprint that includes:
- 4 profitable editions of Europe’s top deep tech summit
- 200+ partners
- 2,000+ founders
- €300M+ in facilitated investments
With its next chapter, DTM is set to expand – scaling a global platform that fuses flagship summits, a SaaS-powered intelligence engine, and a curated founder-investor-enterprise community. Their roadmap includes international expansion and building a sustainable, data-rich ecosystem for deep tech innovation.
EVG’s involvement was championed by events leader Marco Giberti (pictured), who guided the deal from diligence to close. Giberti is an accomplished media, events, and technology entrepreneur who sold Mind Trainer to Reed Exhibitions.
