International Confex relaunches Global Event Tech Summit for 2026

International Confex has announced that it will relaunch the Global Event Tech Summit, moving it from the Conference News portfolio into its own stable.

The summit is set for London on 9 July. It will bring together corporate event planners, exhibition organisers, agencies, associations and not-for-profits with leading tech companies that deal in key areas like AI, automation, audience engagement, registration and experiential innovation.

Demand for event tech is increasing across the industry. Organisers are under pressure to deliver more personalised (and measurable) event experiences.

Event organisers are also a community that could benefit significantly from the efficiency gains that new tech like AI offers. With fast-paced, intense periods of work during event times, it can be vitally important for them to improve their workflow in whichever way possible.

Integrating this summit into the International Confex portfolios will give attendees access to networking opportunities, educational content and suppliers beyond what is available to a purely CN-focused audience.

Jack Newey, chief commercial director at Mash Media, explained the demand for an event like this: “The Global Event Tech Summit has naturally evolved beyond a traditional educational conference. Event professionals want strategic conversations, practical insight and meaningful networking alongside the opportunity to meet the suppliers helping shape modern events.

“Bringing the summit into International Confex allows us to connect the technology conversation with the wider events industry. We’re seeing increasing crossover between corporate planners, agencies, exhibition organisers and suppliers, all looking to solve similar challenges around data, AI, engagement and event delivery.”

The 2026 programme will include case studies, live technology demonstrations, hosted networking and matchmaking. There will also be a focus on the role of technology in delegate wellbeing.
