Davis Experience and Events has acquired Dublin-based agency Whitelight Events.
The deal is the first acquisition by the Irish events company, expected to create up to 10 new roles over two years.
Both businesses will continue operating within the group, with Whitelight relocating to Davis’s offices in Redmond’s Hill, Dublin.
Paul Davis will lead both companies as CEO; Nikki Tunney will move from Davis to Whitelight as business director, overseeing clients and operations.
The acquisition expands Davis’s delivery capacity across corporate and public sector events, while bringing Whitelight’s client portfolio and production capability into the group as it prepares for further growth.
Davis Experience and Events works with global brands and corporate clients, delivering hundreds of internal events each year.
It also produces public experiences, including Culture Night and Ireland’s New Year’s Festival. The business operates across the UK, mainland Europe, the US and Canada. Last year, the company recorded turnover of €5m.
Whitelight Events was founded in 2012 by Con O’Donoghue and Karen Devine. Its clients include the National Lottery, Fingal County Council, Local Enterprise Offices, the Department of Children, Disability and Equality and Research Ireland.
Paul Davis, CEO and founder of Davis Experience and Events, said: “Con and Karen have done an incredible job building Whitelight Events from the ground up. I have witnessed first-hand the outstanding results they deliver and the reputation they have earned across the industry.
“Bringing Whitelight Events into the Davis group allows us to expand our client offering across all operations … nationally and internationally.”
Con O’Donoghue, managing director of Whitelight Events, said: “We’ve known Paul and the Davis team for many years and have great respect for both his approach and what he has built. Paul’s vision and leadership are widely recognised within the industry.”
