Superordinary new event space in North Brisbane

‘Superordinary’, a multi-arts space based in Northshore Brisbane, Australia, has opened a new event space. By repurposing urban spaces for arts projects, events, and artist development, Superordinary has transformed a 1,700sqm industrial warehouse and an adjacent outdoor courtyard into a dynamic hub featuring event spaces, galleries, a kitchen, bar, markets, artist studios, and pop-up installations.

Situated on the banks of the Brisbane River, in the Northshore Brisbane precinct, Superordinary boasts indoor and outdoor stages, gallery space, workshop areas, studios, and market spaces spanning 1,700sqm indoors and 2,200sqm outdoors. The venue can accommodate up to 2,000 people outside or 1,800 inside. The fully accessible space also features more than 300 free onsite car parking spaces, three-phase power throughout, a scissor lift, and logistical and technical support if required.

Lincoln Savage, creative director at Superordinary, said the new event space at Superordinary was designed to be a versatile environment catering to a wide range of events, all in support of the underlying goals for Superordinary, creating space to support artists. He told  Spice Magazine: “Whether it’s an art exhibition, a corporate function, a community workshop, or a private party, our space is equipped to handle it all. With its industrial-chic aesthetic, high ceilings, and flexible layout, Superordinary provides a unique backdrop that can be tailored to suit each event.”
