Thermal Technology 2024 gets hot with record attendance in Osaka

Thermal Technology 2024an important platform for Japan’s industrial furnace and thermal technology sectors, welcomed 3,537 visitors to Osaka, 10-11 October, breaking the preceding edition’s record attendance by 16%.

Thermal Technology 2024 ran for two days at the Knowledge Capital Convention Center in Osaka, and the fifth edition welcomed 93 exhibitors. Organised by Messe Frankfurt Japan Ltd and the Japan Industrial Furnace Manufacturers Association, the trade fair provided a variety of opportunities for exhibitors and visitors to connect and gain insights on the latest market trends and technology updates.

Usually held every four years, the fair was postponed from 2023 to 2024 due to the global pandemic, and industry players were eager to reconnect.

Mr Fumihiro Ito, at SDG Co., Ltd., which also exhibited the 2019 edition, said: “We were able to exchange business cards with more than 100 visitors on the first day alone. Most have had a sense of purpose, therefore, it has been easy for us to conduct business negotiations. We look forward to future business development.”

Exhibiting for the first time, Ms Midori Isojima, at Panasonic Corporation Heating & Ventilation AC Company, stated: “We exhibited at Thermal Technology 2024 in order to meet with industrial furnace manufacturers and factory-related professionals who are facing heat problems. We conducted close to double the number of our target for business meetings. We are sure that we will conclude some contracts.”

The show’s fringe programme consisted of 21 special seminars and presentations by exhibitors, across topics ranging from ‘Action to achieve carbon neutrality in energy’ to ‘The latest technology and future prospects of high frequency induction heating’.
