UFI, the global association of the exhibition industry has selected Grip as its Speed Networking Partner for its 2023 European Conference.
The in-person event, held at MECC Maastricht in the Netherlands 14-16 June 2023, will bring together over 270 event professionals. UFI has announced that it will be using MustMeet, Grip’s AI-powered meeting scheduler, for its speed networking program at the event.
Grip’s MustMeet software will be used by UFI to automatically schedule and manage over 400, four minute pre-scheduled meetings during the speed networking program. These meetings, which will take place 15 June, will connect the attending organisers, venues and suppliers.
According to Stefan Cordery, Grip’s marketing manager, it is UFI’s aim to improve the event’s efficiency by enabling it to expand and enhance the pre-scheduled meetings automatically, saving hours of manual work.
“People come to our events to meet, network and do business with colleagues from across Europe,” says Nick Dugdale-Moore, regional director for Europe, UFI. “Speed networking is becoming an integral part of UFI events and in Maastricht, thanks to Grip, this process will be much easier to manage.”
Tim Groot, founder and CEO of Grip, explains: “A massive 87% of event organisers believe pre-scheduled meetings at events are an important industry trend in 2023, as detailed in the recent B2B Relationships report. As such, UFI understands the importance of being deliberate when it comes to arranging meetings at its events.”
“Connecting its members is a vital part of its European Conference and I’m proud that our MustMeet product is helping UFI members and the wider community build and maintain valuable relationships,” Groot concludes.
