UK’s Farnborough International appoints new head of venue sales

UK exhibition venue Farnborough International has appointed Emily Simmons-Wright as the new head of venue sales.

Simmons-Wright (pictured) has experience across client development, sales and operations, having previously been business development manager at Twickenham Stadium and Central Hall Venues in London.

At Farnborough, Simmons-Wright will introduce new commercial strategies to complement and advance the venue’s growth plans.

Simmons-Wright said: “I was drawn to Farnborough International not only for its company culture but to grab hold of the vast opportunity that lies ahead for the venue. As we move into the next phase of our growth strategy, I am excited to be leading an already inspired and knowledgeable team that can assist in creating cutting edge, insightful and collaborative events.”

Carlo Zoccali, venue director at Farnborough International, added: “We’re thrilled to have Emily onboard as the new sales lead for the venue. Over the last 12 months we have been focusing on increasing our venue portfolio and client base, driving a wider range of events to the venue and region. With her vast industry experience working with agents and corporates, Emily is a brilliant new addition to our team and I am excited to start the next phase of our strategy.”
