Women in Exhibitions World Summit back for second edition

Following a successful inaugural World Summit, the Women in Exhibitions (WiE) support organisation has announced it is to run a second edition, set to take place 18–19 November in Milan, Italy.

Organisers of the summit, dedicated to empowering and advancing women professionals in the exhibitions and events industry, promise to build upon the success of the previous edition and deliver even greater impact.

Fondazione Fiera Milano and Fiera Milano are both providing their support for this summit which will also mark the creation of the Italian Chapter of Women in Exhibitions.

The first edition of the Women in Exhibitions World Summit, was held at the MECC in Maastricht in June 2023, and involved discussion sessions, networking, and made a point of fostering gender diversity and inclusivity within the sector.

Building on this momentum, the second edition of the Women in Exhibitions World Summit aims to further elevate the conversation surrounding gender equality and leadership in the exhibitions industry. The theme this time is: ‘Building bridges, breaking ceilings’, and will include keynote presentations, panel discussions, and interactive workshops. Surprises are also promised by the organisers.

Oana Cipca, WiE founder, said: “Following the overwhelming success of our inaugural event, we remain committed to empowering women professionals and championing diversity within our industry. We look forward to welcoming participants from across the globe as we continue our collective journey towards a more inclusive and equitable future.”
