GES launches local exhibition support in India

GES EMEA has started offering local exhibition support to clients in India. This move will be led by new head of operations and business development, Pranay Chandran, aiming to offer more personalised support with local expertise.

The team delivered its first show in February for Informa’s Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair in New Delhi. Services included GES Show Ready stands, conference areas, and networking lounges.

The move follows GES EMEA’s recent expansion into France, Germany and Qatar.

GES is now offering full local support to clients across India, including sustainable stand options aligned with its global ESG commitments.

According to the latest UFI Global Exhibition Barometer in 2023, India’s exhibition industry has demonstrated significant growth. In 2023, revenues reached 127% of 2019 levels, and projections for 2024 estimated revenues at 154% of 2019 figures.

The UFI report also noted that 71% of companies in India expected a profit increase of more than 10% compared to 2019, and 80% planned to increase their workforce in the coming six months.

GES will exhibit at the Exhibition Services EXPO in New Delhi from 2–3 May to connect with clients and partners.
