George P. Johnson promotes Fiona Bruder to global CEO

American experiential marketing agency George P. Johnson (GPJ) has named Fiona Bruder as its new global chief executive officer. The leadership change will take effect on 1 May 2025.

Bruder previously served as president of GPJ Americas. She succeeds Chris Meyer, who becomes CEO of GPJ’s parent company, Project. Meyer will continue to support GPJ in a strategic advisory role.

Bruder has over 25 years of marketing experience. She played a key role in GPJ’s growth and global expansion. She is known for building long-term client partnerships and leading during industry transitions.

“Fiona has long dedicated herself to this company’s growth and mission, including impressive leadership through the pandemic – where we’ve emerged even stronger as a company,” said Meyer.

Focus on innovation and global expansion

Bruder will lead the agency’s push into AI-powered solutions, new industry verticals, and expanded experiential services. GPJ will also build on its automotive sector heritage to drive innovation in mobility and beyond.

Commitment to culture and inclusion

Bruder led the hiring of GPJ’s first DEI executive. She also supported the launch of employee resource groups to promote inclusion across the agency.

She plays an active role in aligning innovation across Project Worldwide’s agency network to deliver integrated solutions.
