UNIMEV Events Observatory confirms sustainable growth for trade shows

The French Union of Event Professionals (UNIMEV) has unveiled the annual report of its second edition of the UNIMEV Events Observatory, the association’s monitoring tool for measuring the dynamics of events in France.

Based on self-reported data from a panel of organisers, it provides consolidated and comparable indicators to assess the sector’s performance. This new edition compares the results of events in 2025 to the previous year, and confirms positive and sustainable growth for both trade shows and public events in France.

UNIMEV says trade shows are driving the market, with a 4.9% jump in exhibitors, 12.2% for visitors, and net exhibition space rising 3.7%. International trade shows show the most significant growth, confirming the strengthening of France’s appeal.

“The 2025 results confirm that the French events industry is on a consolidated growth trajectory. Trade shows, particularly those with an international dimension, play a strategic role in the attractiveness and economic competitiveness of our country,” said Béatrice Cuif-Mathieu and Philippe Pasquet, co-presidents of UNIMEV.

UNIMEV has over 430 members in France, representing 85% of the sector’s activity by value. The combined revenue of all industry players is estimated at approximately €10bn per year, supporting 40,000 direct jobs.
