Clarion Events has promoted Desiree Hanson to president of North American Energy, in a move that marks the events company’s push to expand within the energy sector.
Desiree has played a key role in building Clarion’s North American Energy division, which includes events such as DISTRIBUTECH, POWERGEN International, Factor This and the Infocast portfolio.
Infocast, recently acquired, has become a leader in energy conferences and events. Adding the event to Clarion’s portfolio puts the global company in prime position to spearhead events in the energy sector.
“Desiree’s commitment to her team and her innovative approach to strategy have been integral to our success,” said Liz Irving, CEO of Clarion Events North America.
New appointee Desiree commented: “I am honoured to take on this new role … With the acquisition of Infocast and the strength of Clarion’s portfolio, we are well-positioned to support our customers’ success and drive meaningful impact across the energy sector.”
