Clarion Events acquires renewable events organiser Infocast

Clarion Events, Inc. has announced the acquisition of Information Forecast, Inc. (‘Infocast’), which will become part of its energy portfolio. Clarion says the addition of Infocast’s events for the renewable energy sector reinforces its global commitment and focus on the entire energy ecosystem.

This acquisition is a significant milestone for both companies, providing Infocast with resources needed for growth and international expansion.

Liz Irving, president of Clarion Events North America, said: “The acquisition of Infocast is a substantial move which strategically aligns both businesses’ strengths and cultures while fortifying our market presence. By combining our resources and expertise, we are poised to unlock significant growth opportunities and deliver unparalleled value to our customers and the industries we serve.”

For more than 30 years, Infocast has organised established conferences while developing new meetings focused on emerging markets and its curated events take place across the US.

Cindy Kim, president, Infocast added: “We are excited to join the Clarion Events North America portfolio. Their dedication to the customers and industries they serve, alongside their culture of customer centricity and innovation, align with our business focus. We look forward to the opportunities this acquisition will bring.”

Clarion’s energy portfolio has grown significantly over the last several years. It features leading sector events in generation and distribution: DISTRIBUTECH International and their regional development-focused events GridTech Connect, POWERGEN International, Enlit Europe, Enlit Asia, and the African Energy Forum.

Industry veteran and Clarion Events North America chief commercial officer Desiree Hanson will continue to lead the North America portfolio, driving the integration of Infocast as it joins forces with the existing energy portfolio.
