UK-based exhibition organiser Mark Allen Group (MAG) has acquired the Road portfolio from B2B media and events company DVV Media International.

DVV assets include: Commercial Motor, Motor Transport: Transport News, and the Road Transport Expo Exhibition series.

The deal includes transfer of the team led by Vic Bunby, divisional MD; Emma Tyrer, sales director and Will Shiers, editorial director. Andy Salter, MD of DVV Media International will continue to support the business as a consultant.

Salter said: “DVV Media International is proud of what the Road portfolio has achieved and the value it brings to the road transport community.

“We believe Mark Allen Group is an excellent home for this business, with the focus and resources to support its continued growth.”

MAG chairman Mark Allen (pictured) added: “These are highly respected brands with loyal audiences and a strong position in the road transport market. We see significant potential to develop the products further, strengthen their digital and events proposition, and continue delivering outstanding value to the industry.”

DVV Media International was advised on the transaction by Collingwood. Legal counsel for the MAG was led by Trethowans. Full financial details of the deal were not revealed.

DVV Media International has also announced the sale of its Flight, Heavy Lift, Air Cargo Media, Rail and HR portfolio of brands to ProMedia Group UK Ltd (ProMedia), a Dutch specialist B2B publisher focused on transport, logistics, mobility and workplace/HR markets. The transaction forms part of DVV MI’s complete divestment of its portfolio, as the business transitions to new ownership for each of its market-leading brands.
