HIMSS and Informa Markets to expand Global Health Conference & Exhibition

The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and Informa Markets have agreed a partnership designed to grow the HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition, which takes place in Orlando, USA, 11-15 March 2024. It will be the inaugural edition under this new partnership.

“Together, the collective reach, reputation and expertise of our organisations are unparalleled, and our work together planning HIMSS24 thus far shows the impact of this partnership,” said Hal Wolf (pictured), president and CEO of HIMSS. “We have already confirmed an impressive group of thought leaders and industry experts in our speaker line-up and educational programming. We’ve also launched a new website, event app and marketing apparatus that will make HIMSS24 our most highly attended event of all time.”

As one of the largest healthcare events in North America, HIMSS Global Health Conference and Exhibition draws 40,000 health professionals, technology leaders, providers and governmental organisations from around the world and the new partnership unites the scale, expertise and resources of the leading global organiser with the thought leadership that HIMSS has established in the health tech community.

HIMSS24 will have a major emphasis on cutting-edge technology, especially artificial intelligence and machine learning in healthcare, robotics, cybersecurity — including a live hacking event led by a leading cybersecurity CEO – and programme tracks on data science, predictive analytics, interoperability and digital health information exchange.

For the first time, HIMSS24 will feature a Hosted Buyer Programme for practitioners. HIMSS24 will also showcase a new and improved Venture Connect Programme for start-ups and entrepreneurs and an expanded Executive Summit and CXO experience. Attendees can also look forward to experiencing a new ‘Map My Show’ app, improved logistics and site design, as well as upgraded food and entertainment.

With a strong presence in the healthcare and medtech spaces through brands such as FIME, Arab Health and IME, Informa Markets is well placed to elevate the HIMSS exhibition to new heights.

The 2024 conference takes place in Orlando, where Informa’s portfolio has been growing under the leadership of Ken McAvoy, president of Informa Markets’ South Florida Ventures.
