South Africa’s CTICC supporting local creatives and entrepreneurs with two lifestyle events

The Cape Town  International Convention Centre  (CTICC)  once  again welcomes the return of its two annual lifestyle events on 26 and 27 November 2022.

The events, THIS IS ART and The Gift Fair will run concurrently at the CTICC as they attract a similar audience and allow visitors to enjoy some early festive season shopping. The Gift Fair, in its third year, promises to host a wide  variety of local entrepreneurs, showcasing gifts and selling arts and crafts, books and games, health and beauty, jewellery, and stationery and various consumables.

THIS IS ART, in its second year, is aimed at promoting local and emerging artists and their work, ranging from multimedia and installations, conceptual and textile art, ceramics and drawings, to photography, printmaking, sculpture and painting.

“Both shows are unique as they offer the smaller local entrepreneur  and  artist  the ability to showcase and sell  their  products  in a very professional, beautiful and iconic  pace and reach a larger target audience,” says Lillian Hlabangane, CTICC’s head of sales.

“At the CTICC, we contribute significantly  to  the  Western  Cape  economy.  We  value  the endeavours of all our small businesses and creatives and by providing a platform at these type of events, it helps them to generate an income and grow their operation. This in turn contributes to increasing job security and playing a part in economic development and recovery.

“These   two   shows   tick   all   these   boxes   and   it’s   great   to   see   the   excitement   of   artists   and entrepreneurs alike present their  much  loved  creations  and  products  to  the  public.  In  addition, both events highlight South African talent and encourages everyone to buy local,” she adds.
