The recent acquisition of Kent-based event insurance specialist InEvexco by US international insurance brokerage Assured Partners illustrates continuing interest in the events sector from outside the industry.
AssuredPartners has no previous experience of the exhibition sector.
InEvexco’s market specific cover for organisers, contractors and exhibitors has come into sharper focus post pandemic.
AssuredPartners, a leading insurance broker in the United States, does have a presence in the UK and Ireland.
Founded in 2011, InEvexco provides insurance solutions to the event, exhibition and conference space. The team will remain in their current roles and continue under the leadership of Mark Clayton, Mark Blair and Shelley Crocker.
David Heathfield (pictured), CEO of AssuredPartners UK and Ireland, said: “InEvexco enjoys the reputation of being thought leaders in their field and it’s that level of expertise which has allowed them to achieve rapid growth over recent years. We are very excited to partner with Mark Clayton and the rest of the team in the next stage of their journey and are looking forward to providing them with access to our vast network of distribution opportunities across the United States to help us both achieve our growth plans.”
Mark Clayton, managing director of InEvexco said: “Deciding to sell is never an easy decision but we knew from the beginning that working with AssuredPartners gave us a great opportunity to achieve our long term goals. InEvexco has enjoyed success because we made it our business to understand our clients and the industry inside out. With the team staying in place and the wider resources available at group level, I firmly believe that the company is well positioned to continue expanding in the years ahead.”
AssuredPartners is one of the fastest-growing, independent insurance agencies in the United States, UK and Ireland. This latest addition to the group follows closely behind UK acquisitions in Birmingham, Chester, Scotland and its recent expansion into Ireland. AssuredPartners has acquired in excess of 400 agencies since 2011, with offices in four countries and 36 states across the US. The company has 9,000 employees.
