Having acquired the Boomset all-on-one event management for in-person and hybrid events in June 2021, Hopin says it will retire the brand from 1 September, 2023.
A short statement on the Hopin website reads: “We are committed to supporting your needs to plan and host your events through your subscription period until September 1, 2023. There is no impact to events you have already scheduled on the Boomset platform before the end of your current subscription period until September 1, 2023.
“Starting September 2, 2023, you will no longer be able to access your Boomset account to host events or download data.”
Hopin Events said it would, however, continue to support the following limited set of hybrid and onsite capabilities: hybrid event scheduling, hybrid event registration, onsite attendee check-in, registrant bulk upload, and basic floor plans.
Johnny Boufarhat (pictured), CEO and founder of Hopin had said of the Boomset acquisition back in June 2021: “The events industry has changed forever and event organisers need a seamless solution that includes virtual and onsite technology and services. With the addition of Boomset, we will allow our customers the ability to scale and analyse any type of event by capturing both virtual and in-person audiences and data together. I am extremely proud to welcome the incredible Boomset team to Hopin as well as partner with Boomset’s founder and CEO Kerem Baran.”
