The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) has signed a multi-show, two-year agreement with global event website specialists ASP.
The partnership will see ASP build and support over 60 event websites for the non-profit organisation that serves over 124,000 managers, engineers, scientists and other professionals across 134 countries in the oil and gas industry.
Commenting on the agreement, SPE’s chief global events officer, Michelle Boyd (pictured), said: “As the largest individual-member organisation in the oil and gas industry, SPE connects and educates professionals through its portfolio of global events. With that in mind, it was important that we found an online event technology partner who can create best-in-class and fully integrated event websites that are well-suited for our diverse needs. ASP are leaders in designing and supporting event websites, and we are delighted to work with them in this expanded relationship.”
ASP’s head of sales Mark Towns said the SPE deal was a continuation of a trend of large event organisers choosing to partner with the online event technology specialists rather than creating their websites in-house.
“Online event technology never stands still,” commented Towns. “That is why at ASP, we are always investing and developing our event website offering so organisers and associations like SPE can put all of their focus into running world-class events.”
