Thailand announces Empowerment Measures to help organisers move to the next level

Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has introduced a ‘Five Year Action Plan’ (2023 – 2027), which it says is part of its commitment to empower trade exhibitions to the next level.

TCEB says it will leverage its strengths as a Collaborator, Partner, Thought Leader and Co-creator (CPTC) to deliver its ‘Professional Exhibition Organisers (PEOs) Empowerment: In-cash Support’ schemes through partnership. The schemes are divided to offer the following support:

  • New Show Essentials: Providing in-depth research and market analysis for PEOs to gain new perspectives when planning their new exhibition for launch in Thailand.
  • Fixed Marketing: A fund for international or local exhibition organisers to put their trade shows to the market, enabling them to deliver value proposition to potential visitors. The scheme is targeted at new shows, event sheld in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), existing shows and new world iconic shows.
  • Performance Booster: For exhibition organisers focusing on drawing overseas visitors from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam (CLMV). The scheme also includes visitor promotion activities to ensure strong activation of the booster.

In addition, the ‘PEOs Empowerment: In-cash Support’ also provides support on government facilitation processes, qualified partners list, technology support, PR support and carbon neutral event guidelines to unlock business opportunities and expand the capabilities of organisers as well as empowering them to sustainably meet new challenges in the ever-changing market.
